Bre Eggert has a successful DIY, craft and decor blog – Average But Inspired. It was lovely to work with her on her new theme project; everything came together so easily.
Bre needed a new WordPress theme that was more up-to-date, easy for her to work with, and that would also reflect her brand. We chose to start with the Genesis Sample theme to use with the Genesis Framework.
The new theme uses the WordPress block editor for the home page layout, so we could do a lot of customization, and it will be easy for Bre to update herself. We organized her home page to provide information for her visitors easy access to her main categories and her latest blog posts. There are also sections for newsletter signup, an about section, and the favorite posts.
We choose to use a sidebar layout for the blog pages, as Bre uses Media Vine.
My favorite thing about working with you is that you’re very approachable and laid back in your approach. It was clear that you know what you’re doing, but I didn’t feel like it was a stressful or overwhelming process because you stay so calm!
